lyrics

Rolling onward
Like electric thunder
Eyes are blinded
By the delta sun

On the levee
Down in Mississippi
When she's calling
I've got to run

But that's alright
I'm at the right place at the right time
That's alright
Just a good old friend of mine

She said come on in
Let me show you something
She gives me whiskey
And blows me away

Before she's done, man
I won't have nothing
She take's my money
But she won't let me stay

But that alright
I'm at the right place at the right time
That's alright
Just a good old friend of mine

Drive me downward
90 miles an hour
Can't see nothing
Through this delta rain

Try to get back home to
The one who loves me so true
I got a taste of pleasure
Now I swallow pain

But that's alright
I'm at the right place at the right time
That's alright
She's just a good old friend of mine

After moving to Nashville in the late 1990s, he became disillusioned with the music business. It took getting in touch with the less polished side of country music to gain inspiration. ... more
